      Add services to your Google Business Profile

      You add services in the services editor of your Business Profile: select Edit services, then Add more services, tick the ones Google suggests for your category or select Add custom service, give each a short description, and save. It takes about five minutes for a handful. Customers see the list under Services on Google Maps.

      Steps

      1. Open your profile

        Search Google for your business name while signed in to the account that manages it. In the Google Maps app, tap Business at the bottom right.

      2. Select Edit services

        Select Edit services. The editor lists the services already on your profile, grouped by category.

      3. Tick the suggested services you offer

        Select Add more services. Google lists services it suggests for each of your categories; tick only the ones you really offer.

      4. Add a custom service

        If yours is not listed, select Add custom service and type its name. Keep the name plain: Google rejects custom names with prices, phone numbers or personal details.

      5. Describe each service

        Select a service to add a description and, if you like, a price. Say what the customer gets, in the words they search with, and mention your area once.

      6. Save

        Select Save. To take a service off later, open it and select Delete service.

      If you do not see it

      • No Edit services. Your category may not take services. Check your categories in Edit profile; a service business usually has the option.
      • A category with no suggestions. In the services editor, select Add a new business category to bring in that category’s suggested services, or add custom ones.
      • A profile not yet verified. Verify the profile first. Some businesses can change their details only after verification.
