Steps
Open your profile and add a post
Search Google for your business name while signed in and select Add update. On business.google.com, select Posts, then Add post. In the Google Maps app, tap Business, then the option to add an update.
Choose Offer
Choose the Offer type. Update and Event are the other two; only an offer carries a coupon code and terms.
Add the title and dates
Enter a short title that says the deal, then the start and end dates and times. These three are required.
Add a photo
Add a photo or a video of the product or the deal, so the offer stands out on the profile.
Add the details
Write what customers get, then add a coupon code, a link to redeem online and your terms and conditions if the offer has them. All of these are optional.
Post or schedule
Select Post. To publish later, turn on Schedule this post and pick the date and time first.
Check it went live
Open the post on your profile. Google marks a post Live, Pending or Not approved; one that breaks a content rule is not approved.
If you do not see it
- No Add update button. Sign in with the account that manages the profile. Posts from a profile that is not verified yet stay Pending.
- Not approved. Take out phone numbers and links to sites Google may not trust, keep the text about the offer itself, and post it again.
What Fly does here
Nothing goes out on Fly asks first until you tap
Early each month Fly recommends an offer, or asks whether you are running one, and writes the post: the title, the dates, the terms, a coupon code if you have one, and a picture in your brand frame with the deal on a band. Fly never sets a price or a discount itself. On every mode, Fly asks first included, the offer waits on a card that says "Nothing goes on Google until you approve it", and it comes down after its last day. Read what else Fly does on the GBP Growth Agent page.
14 days free on one location, no card. Then Rs 2,499 plus 18% GST or $24.99 a location a month.
Questions
Is it free to post my business on Google?
Yes. A Business Profile and its posts, offers included, cost nothing. Google charges only for ads, which are a separate product.
Is it worth posting on Google Business Profile?
Posts appear on your profile on Search and Maps, where people compare nearby businesses. An offer also shows its dates and a View offer button, so a deal is easy to act on while it runs.
